White Lane Studio features unique hand painted, artistic textures, backgrounds, patterns and more created by Chester artist Diane Stafford.
Our fine art textures and graphic design resources are used by designers, photographers, and other creatives who wish to enhance their own work with artistic elements, and save time.
You can expand artistic possibilities by combining photography, hand drawn and hand painted elements with painted pixels.
Essentially I play with inks, paints and pixels to create fine art textures and more. If you like my artistic collections too, that’s the added delight of this creative journey through life.
I’m inspired by all things, driven by a lifelong passion to experiment and create. Whether figurative art, abstract painting, mixed media, drawing or fiber arts and crafts, I just love creating.
Photo Artistry Journey
I design fine art textures and more, to use in client website and graphic design work (that’s my ‘day’ job passion) and for use in my own art and photo artistry pieces (where I aim to meet my muse). Example:
Although mainly a self taught artist, I attended Chester Art College as a mature student where I studied print making, textile art, photography, life drawing and specialised in ceramics. My kiln has sadly been neglected for some time.
I ventured into photo artistry relatively recently and continue to learn and improve my digital skills. However, ‘real’ paint is still very much a part of my creative journey.
My designs start life as hand-painted or mixed media art pieces, which are scanned at high-resolution. From there, each design is digitally refined using various photo artistry techniques to create something unique. Some designs include photographs taken by Diane or by her photographer cousin, Tim.
A Creative Journey Delay
As the number of my finished textures and design assets grow I combine them into affordably priced collections, so other creatives can use them in their personal and commercial work, saving them time and lots of effort.
- This part of my creative journey didn’t get off to great beginnings.
- In fact my plans were stopped rather abruptly in their tracks.
The implementation of the digital EUVAT rules & regulations drastically delayed plans to offer my digital products for sale. If you really want to learn more about Digital VAT, read on…
