Abstract florals: Cosmos flower petal shapes can be a challenge to draw, like most flowers really, as you can easily get pulled in by the smallest detail, twist or curl, in each individual flower petal.
Process Overview
- The original drawings were sketches of the cosmos flowers in my garden,
- which I then digitised in Illustrator.
- From there, I worked in the abstract to help me exclude all the little details, whilst still retaining the overall shape and character of these beautiful flowers.
I’m so pleased with this versatile collection of Cosmos flower illustrations and graphics.
They’re perfect for a wide range of design projects such as, planner book covers, labels, invitations, greeting cards, notebooks, patterned fabric and lots more.
I’ve included ready made elements that can easily be used as a base for your own designs. Seamless patterns bring a fresh feel to wrapping papers, packaging and tote bags, to name just a few possible uses.
